Our mission
Our mission is to assist our local community, as well as southern high kill animal shelters. We are located in South Louisiana, but we do transports north and can consider out of state adoptions for the perfect home. We invest time, training, and veterinary care into each animal that comes through our rescue.
We are proud to say that we specialize in medical cases, neonates, seniors, and special needs animals. ♥️
Our History
We have been actively involved in Animal Rescue for years. Onyx, our personal dog, was seized as a cruelty case in South Louisiana with her family. She was pulled by a rescue and remained in foster care for approximately 4 years. We made the decision to give Onyx a forever home, and she has inspired us to save more lives.

Onyx's Legacy Animal Rescue is a 100% foster based 501c3 nonprofit. The only way we will be able to save lives, is with committed foster homes while the animals undergo vetting and training prior to adoption. We will always be in need of great foster homes! If interested, please apply.
